The Sioux City Explorers lost the final game of their home stand to the Kansas City T-Bones Wednesday night with a score of 8-1.
Sioux City just couldn't get the bats rolling in their 8-1 loss to Kansas City. They finished with only one run, on eight hits and leaving eight on-base. The Explorers didn’t score their run until the seventh when Ryan Court started the inning with a lead-off double. Court then advanced to third on a 6-3 groundout hit by Tim Colwell, and eventually scored off an RBI single by X’s catcher Matt Koch.

Kansas City didn’t not put up another run on the board until the sixth inning where they scored six runs on eight hits. In the inning, designated-hitter Kyle Robinson led-off with a solo homer to start it, and then a two-run home run by shortstop Vladimir Frias extended their lead. Kyle Robinson later in the inning hit an RBI single to plate the eighth run in the ball game.
Right-hander Dustin Loggins was charged with the loss for the Explorers. Loggins started on the mound, going five innings, allowing two runs, on five hits, two walks while striking out five. Jimmer Kennedy pitched in relief in the sixth, giving up six runs. Chris Bodishbaugh and Will White pitched on the night for Sioux City as well.
