Sioux City, IA- The Sioux City Explorers wrap up their series with Gary SouthShore with a loss, falling to the Railcats (8-1) on Sunday evening at Mercy Field at Lewis and Clark Park.  

The RailCats jumped to an early 8-0 lead and never looked back, recording three runs in the first inning, three runs in the seventh, and two runs in the fourth inning.

The Explorers managed to score one run on the night. In the seventh, Nate Samson reached first with a base-hit single, and later scored on an RBI single by Tyler Ogle.  

Railcats starter Charle Rosario (2-2) received the victory, going eight strong innings with only one run allowed.

Explorers left-hander Kramer Sneed (0-1) was charged with the loss, giving up eight runs (seven earned) in seven innings pitched.
