Certified Full Time Seasonal Athletic Trainer Athletic Trainer Duties (Including but not limited to the following) - Serve as the Head Athletic Trainer for all 96 Sioux City Explorer Home and Away games during the 2010 season, while also being at all pre-season spring training games and team practices during the regular season. - Establish and maintain accurate medical records for all Sioux City Explorer players and their related injuries during the course of the 2010 season. - Work in conjunction with the Sioux City Explorers Medical Staff to assure proper treatment and rehabilitation programs are being performed per athletic trainer and medical staff’s recommendation(s). - Responsible for communication on all player injuries with General Manager, Field Manager, and Workman’s Compensation Company. - Be available for weekly conference calls with General Manager and Workman’s Compensation Company to report new injuries and provide updates on existing injuries. - Responsible for ordering and maintaining accurate inventory of all trainer supplies, team medical equipment. - Create daily stretching program in conjunction with SCEBC Field Manager. - Ensure the cleanliness of the Athletic training room at all times. - Follow SCEBC policies and guidelines outlined in Employee Handbook. - Promote the Sioux City Explorers in a positive manner at all times. Compensation: Base salary of $6,000 - $8,000 (based on experience) payable in equal installments over (4) months (April 30th –August 30th) at a rate of $1,500/month - $2,000/per month (based on experience) on the normal pay periods of SCEBC. Applicable taxes, deductions and other withholdings as required by federal, state and local governments shall reduce this amount *SCEBC will provide $18/day meal money for all road games except $9/day on commutes to Sioux Falls, SD and also provide shared hotel room while team is on the road.
