Pensacola scored five runs in the first inning and rolled on to an easy victory over Sioux City. This game was a slugfest as each team combined to score 17 runs on 30 hits. DH George Branch went a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate for the Pelicans with two runs scored, three RBI, and his 11th home run of the season. SS Andrew Salvo also had three hits in five plate appearances for Pensacola. Pelicans starting pitcher Michael Hyle improved his record to 2-2 in the win by going six innings giving up four earned runs on eight hits with three strikeouts. 3B Jake Daubert had a 3-for-5 outing with two RBI for the Explorers.
